Who is responsible for your data

What we collect and why

• The car you choose, your answers to the quick questions and how you arrived on the site (for example the ad you clicked). This is to prepare your report and to learn which ads work.
• Your email address, when you buy, ask for a refund, contact us or ask us to add a car. This is to send your report and receipts, to reply to you, and to tell you when a car you asked for is added.
• Your name and message, if you use the contact form.
• Basic technical data such as your browser type and approximate location (from your IP address), to keep the site secure and to measure our advertising.

Who helps us (processors)

• Stripe takes your payment. We never see your card number.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our data.
• Resend sends our emails.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and PostHog help us measure which ads and pages work. We send them events such as "bought a report", a code that stands for your browser, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your email. Google Tag Manager loads these tools.

Cookies and tracking

Right now this site is in a test phase and measurement tools run without a cookie banner. A cookie banner with a real choice will be added before we advertise to the public.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for accounts. Other data is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by writing to support@pickbestcar.com. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
